In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Gulf Shores Dolphins (Gulf Shores, AL) basketball squad edged the host Murphy Panthers (Mobile, AL), by a margin of 40-38.
The Dolphins (12-12) will now prepare for their outing against Rain (Mobile, AL). The Red Raiders go into the 5A Area 1 outing with a 1-8 record. In their last outing, Rain held off Elberta (Elberta, AL), 41-13, in a league outing.
The Panthers now own a 11-7 record. They play next when they travel to Saraland for a 6A Area 1 outing on Friday, January 20. Murphy will clash with a Spartans squad coming off a 47-35 league loss to Blount (Eight Mile, AL). The Spartans record now stands at 7-14.
