In Friday's league contest, the visiting Black River Rats basketball team scored a close 53-50 win over the Martin Clippers.
The Rats (4-8) will now prepare for their contest against Hesperia (Hesperia, MI). The Panthers come into the non-league contest with a 5-9 record. In their last contest, Hesperia was tipped by Mason County Central (Scottville, MI), 55-31, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Clippers battle the Marcellus Wildcats (Marcellus, MI) in a non-league contest, on Monday, January 20. Martin will attempt to better on its 3-8 season record. The Wildcats come into the contest with a 5-5 record after their 65-40 league win over Lawrence (Lawrence, MI).
