The Big Walnut Golden Eagles (Sunbury, OH) basketball crushed the host Westland Cougars (Galloway, OH), 91-7 in Friday's league bout.
The Golden Eagles now possess a 10-1 record. They play next when they travel to St. Vincent-St. Mary for a non-league bout on Sunday, January 19. Big Walnut will play a Fighting Irish team coming off a 52-43 non-league win over Wayne (Huber Heights, OH). The Fighting Irish record now stands at 14-1.
With the loss, Westland falls to 0-13 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Grandview Heights (Columbus, OH) to play the Bobcats in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 18. The Bobcats go into the bout with a record of 3-12. Grandview Heights lost 57-38 in their recent non-league bout against Madison Plains (London, OH)
