South Carolina High School Basketball - Midland Valley toppled by South Aiken

South Aiken Thoroughbreds (Aiken, SC) supporters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Midland Valley Mustangs (Graniteville, SC), 45-36 in a league match.

With the victory, South Aiken advances its record to 8-7 on the year. The Thoroughbreds travel to Aiken (Aiken, SC) to face the Fighting Green Hornets in a AAAA Region 4 match on Tuesday, January 21. The Fighting Green Hornets enter the match with a record of 10-5. Aiken lost 74-42 in their recent non-league match against Fountain Inn (Fountain Inn, SC)

The Mustangs now own a 3-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Kingstree for a non-league match on Saturday, January 18. Midland Valley will face a Blazers squad coming off a 51-50 league win over Mullins (Mullins, SC). The Blazers record now stands at 14-3.
