East Coweta Indians (Sharpsburg, GA) supporters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host McIntosh Chiefs (Peachtree City, GA), 37-35 in a non-league match.
With the victory, East Coweta advances its record to 3-13 on the year. The Indians travel to Luella (Luella, GA) to face the Lions in a non-league match on Monday, January 20. The Lions enter the match with a record of 1-0. Luella won 34-19 in their recent non-league match against Union Grove (McDonough, GA)
The Chiefs now own a 6-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fayette County for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 18. McIntosh will meet a Tigers squad coming off a 47-46 league loss to Sandy Creek (Tyrone, GA). The Tigers record now stands at 22-2.
