North Kingstown Skippers (North Kingstown, RI) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Mt. Pleasant Kilties (Providence, RI), 56-42 in a league bout.

With the win, North Kingstown upgrades its record to 7-6 on the season. The Skippers host Smithfield (Esmond, RI) to play the Sentinels in a Division 1 bout on Monday, January 22. The Sentinels go into the bout with a record of 4-5. Smithfield lost 58-42 in their recent league bout against Classical (Providence, RI)

Next up, the Kilties play the Westerly Bulldogs (Westerly, RI) in a Division 1 bout, on Saturday, January 20. Mt. Pleasant will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 5-6 record after their 59-47 league loss to Central (Providence, RI).
