The Manasquan Warriors (Manasquan, NJ) basketball nipped the visiting St. Rose Purple Roses (Belmar, NJ), 41-37 in Thursday's league test.
The Warriors (11-3) will now prepare for their test against Point Pleasant Boro (Point Pleasant, NJ). The Panthers go into the non-league test with a 10-3 record. In their last test, Point Pleasant Boro was tipped by Ranney (Tinton Falls, NJ), 66-61, in a non-league test.
The Purple Roses now own a 13-1 record. They play next when they travel to Roselle Catholic for a non-league test on Saturday, January 21. St. Rose will encounter a Lions squad coming off a 93-61 non-league win over Morris Knolls (Rockaway, NJ). The Lions record now stands at 6-4.
