Washington High School Basketball - Sultan knocked off by Meridian

The Meridian Trojans basketball team scored 41 points and held the host Sultan Turks to 30 in the Trojans non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Trojans now sport a 3-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sedro-Woolley for a 1A/2A/3A Northwest contest on Saturday, January 21. Meridian will meet a Cubs team coming off a 65-18 league loss to Squalicum (Bellingham, WA). The Cubs record now stands at 0-8.

The Turks (4-4) will now prepare for their contest against Lakewood (Arlington, WA). The Cougars enter the non-league contest with a 6-8 record. In their last contest, Lakewood was outscored by Oak Harbor (Oak Harbor, WA), 53-39, in a league contest.
