In Friday's league outing, the Medomak Valley Panthers (Waldoboro, ME) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Leavitt Hornets (Turner, ME), by a count of 64-30.
The Panthers (12-1) will now prepare for their outing against Belfast (Belfast, ME). The Lions go into the non-league outing with a 0-12 record. In their last outing, Belfast was crushed by Erskine Academy (South China, ME), 71-38, in a league outing.
The Hornets now hold a 3-9 record. They play next when they host Cape Elizabeth for a B South outing on Saturday, January 20. Leavitt will clash with a Capers squad coming off a 60-52 non-league loss to Greely (Cumberland Center, ME). The Capers record now stands at 2-9.
