The crowd at Friday's league test between the University Trojans (Irvine, CA) and the visiting Portola Bulldogs (Irvine, CA), saw University's soccer squad knock off Portola by a count of 2-0.

The Trojans now hold a 7-8 record. They play next when they host Sage Hill for a Pacific Coast test on Monday, January 22. University will meet a Lightning squad coming off a 5-0 non-league loss to Woodbridge (Irvine, CA). The Lightning record now stands at 7-4.

With the loss, Portola drops to 0-10 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Irvine (Irvine, CA) to battle the Vaqueros in a Pacific Coast outing on Monday, January 22. The Vaqueros go into the outing with a record of 3-6. Irvine lost 5-0 in their recent league outing against Laguna Hills (Laguna Hills, CA)
