Michigan High School Basketball - University Prep thwarts South Lake

The University Prep Panthers (Detroit, MI) basketball knocked off the host South Lake Cavaliers (St. Clair Shores, MI), 49-41 in Monday's non-league test.

The Panthers (7-2) will now prepare for their test against University Prep Science & Math (Detroit, MI). The Cobra go into the Michigan Metro test with a 0-4 record. In their last test, University Prep Science & Math went down by Shrine Catholic (Royal Oak, MI), 66-40, in a non-league test.

The Cavaliers now own a 3-3 record. They play next when they travel to Sterling Heights Stevenson for a Macomb Area - Red test on Thursday, January 5. South Lake will encounter a Titans squad coming off a 35-31 non-league loss to Chippewa Valley (Clinton Township, MI). The Titans record now stands at 0-7.
