The Ballard Bombers (Huxley, IA) basketball knocked off the host North Polk Comets (Alleman, IA), 58-46 in Tuesday's league test.
The Bombers (6-2) will now prepare for their test against Winterset (Winterset, IA). The Huskies go into the Raccoon River test with a 4-4 record.
The Comets now own a 4-6 record. They play next when they travel to Bondurant-Farrar for a Raccoon River test on Friday, January 5. North Polk will encounter a Bluejays squad coming off a 74-70 league win over Gilbert (Gilbert, IA). The Bluejays record now stands at 5-2.
