The Umpqua Valley Christian Monarchs (Roseburg, OR) basketball felled the visiting Glendale Pirates (Glendale, OR), 62-49 in Friday's league test.
The Monarchs (8-8) will now prepare for their test against Powers (Powers, OR). The Cruisers go into the 1A Skyline test with a 3-8 record. In their last test, Powers was beaten by North Douglas (Drain, OR), 68-30, in a league test.
The Pirates now own a 0-12 record. They play next when they host Myrtle Point for a 1A Skyline test on Saturday, January 21. Glendale will encounter a Bobcats squad coming off a 48-46 league win over Elkton (Elkton, OR). The Bobcats record now stands at 10-7.
