Lockport Lions (Lockport, NY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Grand Island Vikings (Grand Island, NY), 76-49 in a league bout.

With the win, Lockport upgrades its record to 8-5 on the season. The Lions travel to Kenmore West (Buffalo, NY) to clash with the Blue Devils in a Section 6 Niagara - Frontier bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a record of 3-9. Kenmore West lost 73-60 in their recent league bout against Lewiston-Porter (Youngstown, NY)

Next up, the Vikings clash with the Niagara-Wheatfield Falcons (Sanborn, NY) in a Section 6 Niagara - Frontier bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Grand Island will attempt to upgrade on its 5-9 season record. The Falcons go into the bout with a 8-5 record after their 54-44 league win over Charter School for Applied Tech (Buffalo, NY).
