Baird Bears (Baird, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Moran Bulldogs (Moran, TX), 26-24 in a league bout.

With the win, Baird upgrades its record to 2-10 on the season. The Bears travel to Eula (Clyde, TX) to clash with the Pirates in a 1A Region II District 13 bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 19-9. Eula won 50-25 in their recent league bout against May (May, TX)

Next up, the Bulldogs clash with the Cross Plains Buffaloes (Cross Plains, TX) in a 1A Region II District 13 bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Moran will attempt to upgrade on its 3-16 season record.
