The Juarez Eagles (Chicago, IL) basketball knocked off the visiting Chicago Academy Cougars (Chicago, IL), 29-18 in Friday's league test.
The Eagles (3-8) will now prepare for their test against Curie (Chicago, IL). The Condors go into the test with a 1-3 record. In their last test, Curie went down by Perspectives-IIT/Joslin (Chicago, IL), 64-0, in a league test.
The Cougars now own a 1-5 record. They play next when they host Steinmetz College Prep for a non-league test on Thursday, January 26. Chicago Academy will encounter a Silver Streaks squad coming off a 2-0 league loss to Von Steuben (Chicago, IL). The Silver Streaks record now stands at 0-1.
