The J.P. Stevens Hawks basketball team scored 70 points and held the host Kennedy Memorial Mustangs to 42 in the Hawks non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Hawks now sport a 11-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Point Pleasant Beach for a non-league contest on Monday, January 22. J.P. Stevens will battle a Garnet Gulls team coming off a 48-16 league win over Henry Hudson (Highlands, NJ). The Garnet Gulls record now stands at 5-8.

The Mustangs (1-13) will now prepare for their contest against Roselle Catholic (Roselle, NJ). The Lions enter the non-league contest with a 14-7 record. In their last contest, Roselle Catholic triumphed over Notre Dame (Lawrenceville, NJ), 53-49, in a non-league contest.
