The Midland Valley Mustangs (Graniteville, SC) basketball nipped the visiting Oglethorpe County Patriots (Lexington, GA), 59-55 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Mustangs (14-5) will now prepare for their test against Airport (West Columbia, SC). The Eagles go into the AAAA Region 4 test with a 7-12 record.
The Patriots now own a 10-9 record. They play next when they travel to Prince Avenue Christian for a A D1 Region 5 test on Tuesday, January 24. Oglethorpe County will encounter a Wolverines squad coming off a 63-57 non-league loss to Loganville (Loganville, GA). The Wolverines record now stands at 10-8.
