Ohio High School Basketball - Elgin thwarts Highland

January 21, 2025: Marion, OH 43302

The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Elgin Comets (Marion, OH) and the visiting Highland Fighting Scots (Marengo, OH), observed Elgin's basketball team knock off Highland by a score of 48-33.

The Comets (12-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Wynford (Bucyrus, OH). The Royals come into the non-league challenge with a 10-5 record.

In their next game, the Fighting Scots encounter the Galion Tigers (Galion, OH) in a Mid-Ohio challenge, on Thursday, January 23. Highland will attempt to improve on its 4-11 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 3-14 record after their 50-39 league loss to Ontario (Ontario, OH).
