Laurel Highlands Mustangs (Uniontown, PA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Southmoreland Scotties (Alverton, PA), 84-18 in a league bout.

With the win, Laurel Highlands upgrades its record to 14-1 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Greensburg Salem (Greensburg, PA) to play the Golden Lions in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Golden Lions go into the bout with a record of 13-3. Greensburg Salem won 61-29 in their recent league bout against Derry (Derry, PA)

Next up, the Scotties play the Bentworth Bearcats (Bentleyville, PA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Southmoreland will attempt to upgrade on its 1-14 season record. The Bearcats go into the bout with a 5-12 record after their 54-47 league win over Frazier (Perryopolis, PA).
