Washington High School Basketball - Granite Falls can't hold off Mount Vernon Christian

The Mount Vernon Christian Hurricanes basketball team scored 51 points and restricted the visiting Granite Falls Tigers to 46 in the Hurricanes non-league victory on Monday.

The Hurricanes now sport a 7-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lummi for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 24. Mount Vernon Christian will battle a Blackhawks team coming off a 87-9 non-league win over Shoreline Christian (Seattle, WA). The Blackhawks record now stands at 6-1.

The Tigers (7-8) will now prepare for their contest against University Prep (Seattle, WA). The Pumas come into the non-league contest with a 2-9 record. In their last contest, University Prep was nudged by Northwest (Seattle, WA), 43-20, in a non-league contest.
