The Sloan-Hendrix Greyhounds basketball team (Imboden, AR), was nudged 57-52 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Izard County Cougars (Brockwell, AR)

The Cougars now possess a 15-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mt. Vernon-Enola for a 2A Region 2 battle on Thursday, January 25. Izard County will confront a Warhawks team coming off a 71-61 league loss to Cedar Ridge (Newark, AR). The Warhawks record now stands at 20-9.

The Greyhounds (22-8) will now prepare for their battle against Marshall (Marshall, AR). The Bobcats come into the 2A Region 2 battle with a 16-6 record. In their last battle, Marshall edged White County Central (Judsonia, AR), 89-55, in a league battle.
