The Gophers now sport a 6-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bowie for a 6A Region I District 8 contest on Friday, January 26. Grand Prairie will battle a Volunteers team coming off a 55-22 league win over Sam Houston (Arlington, TX). The Volunteers record now stands at 15-14.

The Colts (6-19) will now prepare for their contest against Haltom (Haltom City, TX). The Buffalos enter the 6A Region I District 8 contest with a 8-20 record. In their last contest, Haltom was defeated by Lamar (Arlington, TX), 47-28, in a league contest.
