The Elkin Buckin' Elks basketball team (Elkin, NC), dropped 51-38 in Tuesday's league battle with the host South Stokes Sauras (Walnut Cove, NC)
The Sauras now sport a 9-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Starmount for a 1A Northwest battle on Wednesday, January 24. South Stokes will battle a Rams team coming off a 56-26 league loss to East Wilkes (Ronda, NC). The Rams record now stands at 3-12.
The Buckin' Elks (6-9) will now prepare for their battle against Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC). The Granite Bears come into the 1A Northwest battle with a 4-9 record. In their last battle, Mount Airy prevailed over Alleghany (Sparta, NC), 37-31, in a league battle.
