Lawrence County Cougars (Monticello, MS) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Forrest County Agricultural Aggies (Brooklyn, MS), 54-23 in a league bout.

With the win, Lawrence County upgrades its record to 12-9 on the season. The Cougars travel to Sumrall (Sumrall, MS) to play the Bobcats in a 4A Region 7 bout on Friday, January 26. The Bobcats go into the bout with a record of 4-17. Sumrall lost 62-33 in their recent league bout against Columbia (Columbia, MS)

Next up, the Aggies play the Purvis Tornadoes (Purvis, MS) in a 4A Region 7 bout, on Thursday, January 25. Forrest County Agricultural will attempt to upgrade on its 7-15 season record.
