Colorado High School Basketball - Sierra Grande crushes Walsenburg

Sierra Grande Panthers (Blanca, CO) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Walsenburg Panthers (Walsenburg, CO), 54-8 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Sierra Grande upgrades its record to 3-8 on the season. The Panthers travel to Creede (Creede, CO) to play the Miners in a 1A Southern Peaks bout on Friday, January 26. The Miners go into the bout with a record of 6-6. Creede won 71-38 in their recent non-league bout against Cripple Creek-Victor (Cripple Creek, CO)

Next up, the Panthers play the La Veta Redhawks (La Veta, CO) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 25. Walsenburg will attempt to upgrade on its 1-11 season record. The Redhawks go into the bout with a 4-6 record after their 48-22 non-league loss to Cheraw (Cheraw, CO).
