Illinois High School Basketball - Guilford victorious over Freeport

In Thursday's league contest, the host Guilford Vikings basketball team scored a good 61-45 triumph over the Freeport Pretzels.

The Vikings (18-5) will now prepare for their contest against Hononegah (Rockton, IL). The Indians go into the Northern Illinois 10 contest with a 13-8 record. In their last contest, Hononegah topped Jefferson (Rockford, IL), 68-32, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Pretzels battle the Jefferson J-Hawks (Rockford, IL) in a Northern Illinois 10 contest, on Friday, January 24. Freeport will attempt to better on its 17-6 season record. The J-Hawks go into the contest with a 3-19 record after their 42-22 non-league loss to Maine East (Park Ridge, IL).
