The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Renaissance Phoenix (Detroit, MI) and the visiting Southeastern Jungaleers (Detroit, MI), observed Renaissance's basketball team overwhelm Southeastern by a score of 88-6.
The Phoenix (16-1) will now prepare for their challenge against King (Detroit, MI). The Crusaders come into the non-league challenge with a 5-6 record. In their last challenge, King was routed by Cass Tech (Detroit, MI), 58-16, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Jungaleers encounter the Oak Park Knights (Oak Park, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 28. Southeastern will attempt to improve on its 2-11 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 0-6 record after their 24-17 league loss to University (Ferndale, MI).
