The Chisago Lakes Area Wildcats (Lindstrom, MN) basketball nipped the visiting North Branch Vikings (North Branch, MN), 79-77 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Wildcats (6-7) will now prepare for their test against St. Francis (St. Francis, MN). The Fighting Saints go into the AAA Section 5 test with a 7-8 record. In their last test, St. Francis got by Big Lake (Big Lake, MN), 75-69, in a league test.

The Vikings now own a 7-8 record. They play next when they host Monticello for a AAA Section 5 test on Thursday, January 26. North Branch will encounter a Magic squad coming off a 63-57 league loss to Cambridge-Isanti (Cambridge, MN). The Magic record now stands at 1-13.
