Texas High School Basketball - Stevens nips Jay

Stevens Falcons (San Antonio, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Jay Mustangs (San Antonio, TX), 66-59 in a league bout.

With the victory, Stevens upgrades its record to 18-8 on the campaign. The Falcons host Harlan (San Antonio, TX) to play the Hawks in a 6A Region IV District 29 bout on Friday, January 27. The Hawks come into the bout with a record of 23-4. Harlan won 51-47 in their recent league bout against Warren (San Antonio, TX)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Holmes Huskies (San Antonio, TX) in a 6A Region IV District 29 bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Jay will attempt to upgrade on its 10-19 season record. The Huskies come into the bout with a 15-17 record after their 48-44 league win over Sotomayor (San Antonio, TX).
