The Newberg Tigers basketball team scored 48 points and held the visiting Sherwood Bowmen to 34 in the Tigers league triumph on Tuesday.
The Tigers now sport a 9-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Century for a 6A Pacific contest on Friday, January 27. Newberg will battle a Jaguars team coming off a 49-48 league loss to Glencoe (Hillsboro, OR). The Jaguars record now stands at 8-7.
The Bowmen (8-8) will now prepare for their contest against Glencoe (Hillsboro, OR). The Crimson Tide enter the 6A Pacific contest with a 3-12 record. In their last contest, Glencoe ran past Century (Hillsboro, OR), 49-48, in a league contest.
