The Newnan Cougars tipped the host Northgate Vikings basketball team by a final score of 42-41 in Wednesday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Cougars face the Alexander Cougars (Douglasville, GA) in a game, on Friday, January 26. Newnan will attempt to move on its 6-9 season record.

With the defeat, Northgate moves to 1-7 on the year.
