In Friday's league contest, the host Rock Ridge co-op [Eveleth-Gilbert/Virginia] Wolverines basketball team scored a big 58-28 triumph over the Chisago Lakes Area Wildcats.
The Wolverines (18-4) will now prepare for their contest against Grand Rapids (Grand Rapids, MN). The Thunderhawks go into the AAA Section 7 contest with a 3-19 record. In their last contest, Grand Rapids was trounced by Proctor (Proctor, MN), 97-37, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Monticello Magic (Monticello, MN) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 28. Chisago Lakes Area will attempt to better on its 2-18 season record. The Magic go into the contest with a 19-0 record after their 80-27 league win over Zimmerman (Zimmerman, MN).
