The Charlotte Catholic Cougars basketball team scored 45 points and limited the visiting Providence Panthers to 30 in the Cougars league triumph on Friday.

The Cougars now have a 17-2 record. They play next when they travel to Independence for a game on Tuesday, January 28. Charlotte Catholic will confront a Patriots team coming off a 42-36 non-league loss to Ambassador Christian School (Huntersville, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 15-3.

With the loss, Providence falls to 3-12 on the campaign. The Panthers host Butler (Matthews, NC) to battle the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 28. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 7-5.
