The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Wirt County Tigers (Elizabeth, WV) and the visiting Sherman Tide (Seth, WV), observed Wirt County's basketball team overwhelm Sherman by a score of 48-19.
The Tigers (4-7) will now prepare for their challenge against South Harrison (Lost Creek, WV). The Hawks come into the non-league challenge with a 4-8 record. In their last challenge, South Harrison trounced Magnolia (New Martinsville, WV), 46-37, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Tide encounter the Van Bulldogs (Van, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 30. Sherman will attempt to improve on its 5-8 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 0-9 record after their 75-14 league loss to Tug Valley (Williamson, WV).
