Eastgate Life Academy (Hiawassee, GA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Philadelphia Christian School Eagles (Calhoun, GA), 71-56 in a league bout.

With the victory, Eastgate Life Academy upgrades its record to 11-3 on the campaign. The host Mountain Area Christian Academy (Morganton, GA) to play the Lions in a GCAA Region I bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Lions come into the bout with a record of 17-3.

Next up, the Eagles play the North Georgia Christian Academy Knights (Ellijay, GA) in a GCAA Region I bout, on Monday, January 30. Philadelphia Christian School will attempt to upgrade on its 6-11 season record.
