Virginia High School Basketball - Bruton overwhelmed by Poquoson

The Poquoson Islanders basketball team scored 70 points and restricted the visiting Bruton Panthers to 22 in the Islanders league victory on Thursday.
The Islanders now sport a 8-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tabb for a Bay Rivers contest on Friday, January 27. Poquoson will battle a Tigers team coming off a 46-29 league loss to Jamestown (Williamsburg, VA). The Tigers record now stands at 7-9.
The Panthers (0-16) will now prepare for their contest against Warhill (Williamsburg, VA). The Lions come into the Bay Rivers contest with a 11-6 record. In their last contest, Warhill triumphed over York (Yorktown, VA), 64-45, in a league contest.
