In Friday's league match, the host Saltillo Lions basketball squad scored a big 55-27 win over the Bloomburg Wildcats.

The Lions (23-7) will now prepare for their test against Yantis (Yantis, TX). The Owls go into the 1A Region III District 24 test with a 0-18 record. In their last test, Yantis was trounced by Sulphur Bluff (Sulphur Bluff, TX), 54-31, in a league test.

The Wildcats now own a 18-8 record. They play next when they host Marshall Christian Academy for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 30. Bloomburg will encounter a Guardians squad coming off a 60-45 league loss to Providence Classical Academy (Bossier City, LA). The Guardians record now stands at 7-10.
