The Volunteer Falcons (Church Hill, TN) basketball knocked off the visiting Grainger Grizzlies (Rutledge, TN), 50-34 in Friday's league test.
The Falcons (10-8) will now prepare for their test against Cherokee (Rogersville, TN). The Chiefs go into the 3A District 2 test with a 2-16 record. In their last test, Cherokee went down by Claiborne (New Tazewell, TN), 45-41, in a league test.
The Grizzlies now own a 7-12 record. They play next when they host Greeneville for a 3A District 2 test on Monday, January 29. Grainger will encounter a Greene Devils squad coming off a 62-56 non-league win over Science Hill (Johnson City, TN). The Greene Devils record now stands at 11-10.
