Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Indian River Indians (Dagsboro, DE) and the visiting Newark Charter School Patriots (Newark, DE), saw Indian River's basketball squad overcome Newark Charter School by a tally of 63-49.

With the victory, Indian River improves its record to 10-4 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Laurel (Laurel, DE) to play the Bulldogs in a Henlopen - Southern challenge on Tuesday, January 31. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 10-3. Laurel won 67-48 in their recent league challenge against Early College (Dover, DE)

Next up, the Patriots play the Delaware Military Academy Seahawks (Wilmington, DE) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 2. Newark Charter School will attempt to improve on its 6-6 season record. The Seahawks come into the challenge with a 2-11 record after their 52-46 non-league loss to Milford (Milford, DE).
