Ocean Township Spartans (Oakhurst, NJ) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Lakewood Piners (Lakewood, NJ), 64-31 in a league bout.

With the win, Ocean Township upgrades its record to 12-4 on the season. The Spartans host Wall Township (Wall, NJ) to play the Crimson Knights in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 28. The Crimson Knights go into the bout with a record of 0-10.

With the defeat, Lakewood moves to 0-11 on the year. The Piners travel to Liberty (Jackson, NJ) to face the Lions in a Shore C - South game on Monday, January 30. The Lions enter the game with a record of 1-10. Liberty lost 57-39 in their recent league game against Donovan Catholic (Toms River, NJ)
