The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Augusta Southeastern Suns (Augusta, IL) and the host West Prairie Cyclones (Sciota, IL), observed Augusta Southeastern's basketball team overwhelm West Prairie by a score of 61-35.
The Suns (8-14) will now prepare for their challenge against Seymour (Payson, IL). The Indians come into the West Central challenge with a 12-10 record. In their last challenge, Seymour was routed by Brown County (Mt. Sterling, IL), 65-58, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Cyclones encounter the Havana Ducks (Havana, IL) in a Prairieland challenge, on Tuesday, January 28. West Prairie will attempt to improve on its 9-13 season record. The Ducks come into the challenge with a 5-15 record after their 44-43 league win over Bushnell-Prairie City (Bushnell, IL).
