The North Star co-op [Cando/Bisbee-Egeland/Munich/Starkweather] Bearcats basketball team scored 80 points and restricted the visiting Drayton/Valley-Edinburg Titans to 39 in the Bearcats non-league win on Monday.

The Bearcats (3-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Washburn (Washburn, ND). The Cardinals come into the non-league challenge with a 8-5 record. In their last challenge, Washburn was routed by Garrison (Garrison, ND), 54-47, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Titans battle the Cavalier Tornadoes (Cavalier, ND) in a B District 3 challenge, on Friday, January 31. Drayton/Valley-Edinburg will attempt to improve on its 3-8 season record. The Tornadoes come into the challenge with a 0-11 record after their 51-37 league loss to North Border co-op [Walhalla/Pembina] (Walhalla, ND).
