The Craig Panthers basketball team scored 44 points and restricted the host Petersburg Vikings to 23 in the Panthers league victory on Saturday.
The Panthers now sport a 8-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wrangell for a 2A Southeast contest on Friday, February 3. Craig will battle a Wolves team coming off a 31-25 league loss to Metlakatla (Metlakatla, AK). The Wolves record now stands at 3-3.
The Vikings (0-10) will now prepare for their contest against Metlakatla (Metlakatla, AK). The Chiefs come into the 2A Southeast contest with a 5-3 record. In their last contest, Metlakatla triumphed over Wrangell (Wrangell, AK), 31-25, in a league contest.
