South Carolina High School Basketball - South Aiken falls to Airport

January 28, 2025: West Columbia, SC 29170

The South Aiken Thoroughbreds basketball squad (Aiken, SC), was outscored 34-24 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Airport Eagles (West Columbia, SC)

With the victory, Airport advances its record to 12-8 on the year. The Eagles host Midland Valley (Graniteville, SC) to meet the Mustangs in a AAAA Region 4 battle on Friday, January 31. The Mustangs enter the battle with a record of 4-16. Midland Valley won 39-36 in their recent league battle against Brookland-Cayce (Cayce, SC)

The Thoroughbreds now own a 9-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Aiken for a AAAA Region 4 battle on Wednesday, January 29. South Aiken will meet a Fighting Green Hornets squad coming off a 50-40 league win over Gilbert (Gilbert, SC). The Fighting Green Hornets record now stands at 12-5.
