Anderson County Mavericks (Clinton, TN) supporters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Scott Highlanders (Huntsville, TN), 59-54 in a league match.
With the victory, Anderson County advances its record to 8-7 on the year. The Mavericks travel to Union County (Maynardville, TN) to face the Patriots in a 3A District 4 match on Friday, January 31. The Patriots enter the match with a record of 9-6.
The Highlanders now own a 14-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Gibbs for a 3A District 4 match on Friday, January 31. Scott will face a Eagles squad coming off a 49-21 league loss to Cumberland Gap (Cumberland Gap, TN). The Eagles record now stands at 5-17.
