Pilgrim Patriots (Warwick, RI) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Middletown Islanders (Middletown, RI), 47-46 in a league bout.

With the victory, Pilgrim upgrades its record to 4-10 on the campaign. The Patriots host Narragansett (Narragansett, RI) to play the Mariners in a Division 3 bout on Wednesday, January 31. The Mariners come into the bout with a record of 12-1. Narragansett won 47-19 in their recent league bout against North Smithfield (North Smithfield, RI)

Next up, the Islanders play the Central Falls Warriors (Central Falls, RI) in a Division 3 bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Middletown will attempt to upgrade on its 1-15 season record.
