Ohio High School Basketball - Austintown-Fitch thwarts Boardman

January 29, 2025: Youngstown, OH 44515

The crowd at Wednesday's league challenge between the Austintown-Fitch Falcons (Youngstown, OH) and the visiting Boardman Spartans (Youngstown, OH), observed Austintown-Fitch's basketball team knock off Boardman by a score of 63-51.

The Falcons (8-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Howland (Warren, OH). The Tigers come into the All-American challenge with a 7-10 record. In their last challenge, Howland was knocked off by Canfield (Canfield, OH), 42-37, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Spartans encounter the Harding Raiders (Warren, OH) in a All-American challenge, on Saturday, February 1. Boardman will attempt to improve on its 9-10 season record. The Raiders come into the challenge with a 12-6 record after their 54-46 non-league win over Cardinal Mooney (Youngstown, OH).
