Ellsworth Eagles (Ellsworth, ME) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host John Bapst Memorial Crusaders (Bangor, ME), 71-19 in a league bout.

With the victory, Ellsworth upgrades its record to 6-2 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Bucksport (Bucksport, ME) to play the Golden Bucks in a B North bout on Thursday, January 5. The Golden Bucks come into the bout with a record of 1-5. Bucksport won 43-33 in their recent league bout against Orono (Orono, ME)

Next up, the Crusaders play the Caribou Vikings (Caribou, ME) in a B North bout, on Saturday, January 7. John Bapst Memorial will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Vikings come into the bout with a 4-2 record after their 47-45 league loss to Presque Isle (Presque Isle, ME).
