Liberty Indians (Liberty, NY) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Sullivan West Bulldogs (Lake Huntington, NY), 59-47 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Liberty upgrades its record to 2-6 on the season. The Indians travel to Beacon (Beacon, NY) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Monday, January 8. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 4-6. Beacon lost 66-62 in their recent non-league bout against Monticello (Monticello, NY)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Tri-Valley Bears (Grahamsville, NY) in a Section 9 Orange County V bout, on Friday, January 5. Sullivan West will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Bears go into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 54-32 non-league loss to Port Jervis (Port Jervis, NY).
